The fact that the instrumentation, with the exception of the saxes and woodwinds that Zac played, was programmed yet still sounds like a live big band is inspirational.

As a musician myself who tries to record their own music, it makes me feel that there is hope for me yet. Favorite track: The Hider.

Zac Zinger's one-man big band provides the musical soundscape for he original soundtrack for the 2018 virtual reality game, "The Take," by Stuido Studios. Playing woodwinds live and deftly programming a MIDI big band to back them up with the help of his trusty EWI, Zinger's one-man big band made its first appearance on the critically acclaimed "Monster Hunter Swing," and has since been utilized in the soundtrack to Street Fighter V.

In this offering, his compositions represent the two distinct personalities of the personas taken on by players of "The Take." The first, a machismo, overconfident Austin Powers-type detective; the second, his foil: a down-on-his-luck, grimy private eye who does things the old fashioned way. The contrast in styles goes from a 70s era jazz-rock with more than enough cowbell to a swingin' 40s classic big band.
